Our medical software indicates improper reimbursements by your managed care contracts. We automatically appeal erroneous payments either by phone or by letter.

Account Follow-up
We pursue all unpaid services until the carrier and/or the guarantor have addressed each service. Because we are experienced in account management, we can appeal inappropriately denied or excluded services, usually without disrupting the physician.

Sensitivity
The physician/patient relationship is a delicate one. That is why we draw from our years of experience and exhaust all avenues to collect from payors before we transfer account balances to your patients. We expressly follow your wishes concerning guarantors and unpaid balances. No account is sent to an outside collection agency without your written approval.

Bereavement
We understand the intense sense of loss of bereaved families and unless it is your specific request, we never contact these families. We successfully work with hospitals, carriers and even employers to resolve these account balances.

MAMS strictly adheres to all federal and individual state rules and regulations governing billing services. MAMS has an Advisory Panel to monitor the legalities and operations of a medical billing service. Our panel includes a healthcare attorney who is also an RN, a medical practice consultant specializing primarily in neonatology and related highly specialized practices such as perinatology and OB/GYN, and a CPA specializing in medical practices.
